Emergency Medical Responder

Advanced first response between First Aid and EMT.

Description

It was identified more than 30 years ago that there is still a gap between basic first aid training and the training of EMS personnel. For the original "first responder" target audience—non-EMS providers who, while carrying out other responsibilities, are likely (or expected) to respond to emergencies—an "advanced first aid course" is still required. Law enforcement officers, firefighters, and other members of the public and private safety and service are in actuality essential elements of the integrated EMS System.
