Description
This activity intends to instruct healthcare professionals or Non
Health Care providers to recognize and treat victim suffering from
Several life-threatening emergencies. The activity will provide
instructional material to healthcare professionals and Non
Healthcare providers guide them in completing basic lifesaving skills. After completing this activity, the participant should
be able to:
• Identify and apply basic life-saving skills in a cardiac emergency to increase victim survival.
• Initiation of the chain of survival.
• Describe BLS algorithms for Adults, Children, and Infants.
• Describe the importance of early recognition and intervention of ventilation and AED use.
• Recognizing and treating choking.
• Identifying and treating opioid overdose.
